Philosophers value wisdom over knowledge. To them, knowledge is a mere database, but wisdom is the power to manage it. Knowledge is the tools, wisdom is the use of them.

That said, it is an important aspect of human knowledge to attempt to understand this beast (wisdom). Sadly, one can be taught knowledge but one can never be taught wisdom.

This site will not make one wise. But it is a source for those looking for the tools, the widgets and the gadgets that can accumulate to fulfill the hungry mind. And with a full mind, coupled with the willingness to enter into strange and unusual manners of thinking, there is no limitation to human capacity.

As the great thinker Terence once said, "Humani sum nihile a me alienum puto", which translated, means "I am a human being, and there is nothing which I consider strange to me." This is a motto for the limitless capacity for human understanding. Ours is the strongest of computational devices, capable of thinking in contradictions, capable of willing and not willing simultaneously. It is with this in mind that I hope to provide mental exercise on this site, in the hopes of helping strong, able-minded individuals something to digest.
